A few ground rules.

What is available

The home-page compressor is available without an account. It accepts up to 10 still JPEG, PNG or WebP images, with a combined limit of 100 MB. Each file must be no larger than 20 MB, 24 megapixels and 8192 pixels on either side.

The home-page tool starts automatically after selection. It preserves the image format and displayed dimensions, uses a fixed JPEG/WebP quality of 50%, and uses lossless PNG encoding. If encoding does not make a file smaller, the original is offered for download.

Additional resizing, format conversion and batch controls require approved image access. Video tools are listed as a preview; video processing is not available. An invitation or approval does not make an unfinished tool available.

Your files and results

Only process files that you own or have permission to use. You retain your rights to your files. Image contents are processed locally in your browser.

Lossy compression can reduce image quality. Conversion, resizing and re-encoding can change the appearance of a file and remove metadata. Additional image tools can turn animations into a still frame; the home-page compressor rejects animated PNG and WebP files.

Keep your original files and inspect the downloaded results before relying on them. Compression savings depend on the source image and are not guaranteed. Your browser must support the selected format and have enough available memory.

Accounts and early access

Use an email address you control, verify it and keep your password and account links private. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you suspect someone else has access, reset your password and contact us.

Early-access applications may be approved or declined. Invitations may expire, be revoked or have a limited number of uses. Registration and access approval do not guarantee future features or a release date.

Acceptable use

Use GooseBot lawfully and without interfering with the service or other accounts.

• Do not attempt to access another person’s account or administrator functions without permission.
• Do not abuse registration, reset-password or invitation endpoints, or send automated requests intended to overload the service.
• Do not use the tools to infringe another person’s copyright, privacy or other rights.

Availability and payments

The current version is free and collects no payments. Features, supported formats and limits may change as the project develops.

The service may be interrupted by maintenance, browser limitations or technical faults. It is not a backup service: save the results you need to your own device.

Leaving the service

You can stop using the tools at any time and delete your account in Settings. See Privacy for the account information involved and the limits of deletion.
